A self-taught musician, Moe started out playing the guitar at the age of 13. He immediately began recruiting friends to form a number of bands throughout Jr. High and High School, writing and recording several full-length albums in genres as diverse as 50's style rock and roll, punk, surf, reggae and pop. By his late teens, a general interest in The Beatles grew into a full obsession, leading him to learn to play the piano from a single Beatles book. After a chance encounter seeing Because live, he became an immediate fan and after a year of watching them play, he mustered up the courage to to approach the band about adding a keyboardist and the rest, as they say, is history.
